If they both show up at the annual UM Sports Hall of Fame fishing tournament in Islamorada in June, nobody better put Jeremy Shockey and Warren Sapp on the same boat.
Someone would go overboard.
You could argue that’s already happened in this feud between ex-Hurricanes, which is of unknown origin but has played out in a very public manner over the last four years.
That wasn’t the end of Sapp’s legal trouble. Shockey fired another shot Sunday when he somehow obtained documents pertaining to Sapp’s bankruptcy proceedings and posted them on his Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. He later deleted them.
The two were never teammates. Shockey, 35, left UM after the 2001 season. Sapp, 43, had been in the NFL seven years by then. Sapp retired in 2007, while Shockey hasn’t played since 2011.
Most former Hurricanes are united, but not these two. They’re not “all about the ‘U,'” they’re all about the “you ************!”
Maybe Mark Richt can bring them together…
