CORAL GABLES — Stacy Coley is popular with Hurricanes fans … of all ages.
The senior wide receiver, probably the most recognizable UM player not named Brad Kaaya, was a hit with the students at Carver Elementary in Coral Gables when UM visited on Tuesday.
Coley, who is certain to be a high NFL Draft pick with a strong 2016 season, is already got plenty of practice signing fan memorabilia.
“It’s fun giving back to the kids,” said Coley, who didn’t remember meeting any Hurricanes or Dolphins growing up in Oakland Park, but wishes he had.
Loved this exchange with the kid in the red shirt, who self-identified as Coley’s biggest fan:
KID: “Sign my shoes.”
COLEY: “You want me to sign your shoes? … You’re not going to get in trouble?”
KID: “I’ve got way more shoes.”
Kids are the best.
