Recruiting: OL Zalontae Hillery commits to Miami Hurricanes

Miami picked up another offensive lineman for the 2017 season. Zalontae Hillery committed Saturday while attending Paradise Camp on UM’s campus.

Conflicting information emerged surrounding the news, which InsideTheU first reported. Canesport later said Hillery didn’t intend for his commitment to become public. A source told the Post that the latter is true, but that Hillery is expected to wind up a Hurricane.

Hillery, who is not ranked by recruiting services but reportedly has offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Oregon, Mississippi and others, is listed at 6-foot-5 and 280 pounds.

He attends Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Georgia and is a teammate of Hurricanes commit DeeJay Dallas.

Miami’s top-ranked commit is four-star offensive lineman Navaughn Donaldson (Miami Central). The other offensive lineman in the class is three-star Zach Dykstra (Spirit Lake, Iowa).
