Miami Hurricanes football: Where are Canes ranked after Week 2?

[Richt likes defense vs. FAU; not pass game, penalties]

[Kaaya on offense: 2-0 is only stat I care about]

[Five things we learned from Miami 38, FAU 10]

A week after a convincing win over Florida Atlantic, the Hurricanes (2-0) stayed at No. 25 in the Associated Press top 25.

I ranked Miami 23rd in my AP ballot, which you can view here.

UM plays its first road game of the year Saturday, visiting Appalachian State (1-1) at noon (ESPN).

The Mountaineers did not receive votes in the poll. Miami’s next home opponent, Florida State (Oct. 8), is No. 2. Notre Dame, which Miami faces on the road Oct. 29, is No. 18. Miami opponents that received votes include Pittsburgh and North Carolina.

The Hurricanes also cracked the coaches’ poll, entering at No. 25. App State received three votes in the coaches’ poll.
