Miami strength coach Gus Felder is firing up the offensive linemen, before moving to other position groups.

“Fast, strong and nasty,” he shouts. “That’s what we are.”

10:33 a.m. All clear

Cornerback Adrian Colbert (knee) will return after missing two games. Defensive tackles Anthony Moten (shoulder) and Courtel Jenkins (knee), both of whom had early-season injuries, and defensive end Demetrius Jackson (minor knee injury at Appalachian State) are expected to play.

Brad Kaaya, who “twisted” his knee at App State, will play. He and Mark Richt have said the knee is OK. He was moving around well in warmups, for what it’s worth.

10:20 a.m. Setting the scene

Real nice day in downtown Atlanta. Temps expected to be in the high 70s. Clear skies.

Here in Georgia Tech’s outdoor press box, it’s bright and quite warm.

Speaking of weather, that wasn’t a factor for Miami this week. Morning practices went largely interrupted. Storms affected Georgia Tech week in previous years.

Considering that and the bye (and the upgrade in coaching), expect the Hurricanes to be prepared today.

9:20 a.m. Good morning
