Miami will be a favorite on the road for the second week in a row.
According to odds posted by VegasInsider, the Hurricanes opened as a 2.5-point favorite for their game at North Carolina State (12:30 p.m. Saturday, ACC regional networks). As of Wednesday morning, the line had moved to 3 points.
Miami was a 12.5-point favorite at Virginia last week, and won by 20. In its previous road game, Miami opened as a 1-point underdog at Notre Dame and lost by three.
That was the second time UM was an underdog this year; it was a 5-point underdog at Virginia Tech on Oct. 20. It lost that game by 21 points, its most lopsided defeat of the season.
At home against Pittsburgh two weeks ago, UM was a 6-point favorite and won by 23.
