On a day of hits for the Hurricanes, there was one miss: Christopher “C.J.” Henderson isn’t coming to Coral Gables.

Henderson, a four-star defensive back, made the announcement after noon Wednesday at Miami-Columbus High. UF confirmed his signing soon after.

After signing junior college cornerback Jhavonte Dean, Henderson’s four-star teammate Trajan Bandy — who sat next to him at the ceremony — and four-star athlete DeeJay Dallas, who can play corner or receiver, the Hurricanes feel good about their class.

Henderson was ESPN’s No. 10 athlete and 131st overall player. He committed to UM in Feb. 2016 before backing off last October.
