Meet the freshmen: mid-camp thoughts from Miami Hurricanes’ 2017 class

CORAL GABLES — Miami’s freshmen spoke to reporters Monday for the first time as Hurricanes.

We caught up with several, including N’Kosi Perry, Evidence Njoku, DeeJay Dallas, Trajan Bandy, Mike Harley and DJ Johnson, and heard about their goals for their first seasons at UM.

Njoku wants to uphold the “Njoku legacy” of being a “freak athlete.” Johnson wants to “ball out” and put a total of zero bad plays on his highlight film.

Dallas has his sights set high.

Real high.

He wants to win “the Coastal, then from there, playoffs, then push comes to shove, national championship,” he said. “That’s really how I’m feeling.”

Hear from them in the video above. We’ll have much more from media day in subsequent posts.
