Pregame live blog: Ahmmon Richards status unclear for No. 14 Miami vs. Toledo

MIAMI GARDENS — Football is back in South Florida. Keep it locked here for pregame notes, photos and videos until Miami kicks off at 3:30 p.m. against Toledo at Hard Rock Stadium.

D. Jackson out

Redshirt junior defensive end Demetrius Jackson was not dressed for warmups. He will not play. The reason for his absence is unknown.

Richards warming

Miami’s No. 1 wideout, Ahmmon Richards, is participating in warmup drills.

Richards strained his hamstring midway through camp and missed UM’s opener against Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 2.

Field report

The Dolphins said Hard Rock Stadium and the playing field were OK after Hurricane Irma; some new trees blew over outside, but they’re back in place now.

TV info

The ACC’s regional networks will cover the game. Fox Sports Florida picks up coverage locally. You can also stream the game on WatchESPN.com and the Watch ESPN app.

Weather report

It’s a nice, humid, late-September day in South Florida. Midday highs call for 87-degree temps and “feels like” numbers 10 degrees higher. Should be in the low-80s by game’s end, with a 30 to 40 percent chance of rain.

It’s steamy out there.

It’s a type of weather that is usually an advantage for Miami, and it should be so today, on the whole. But this is the first game in three weeks for the Hurricanes, so their legs could be a little wobbly too.
