After snapping a seven-year losing streak to its biggest rival, Miami is moving up in the polls.

The Hurricanes (4-0, 2-0 ACC) moved up two spots to No. 11 in the Associated Press top 25.

Miami, which hosts Georgia Tech on Saturday (3:30 p.m., ABC), was ranked 10th in the coaches poll.

Ranked 18th by the AP to start the year, Miami beat Bethune-Cookman, Toledo, Duke and Florida State to start 4-0 for the second year in a row.

In 12 seasons before Mark Richt‘s arrival as coach, Miami was 4-0 twice: in 2004, and 2013.

Among ACC teams, Clemson (6-0) remained at No. 2, and Virginia Tech (5-1) moved up one spot to No. 15. Notre Dame (5-1), which visits UM on Nov. 11, is No. 16. That’s one week after Miami hosts Virginia Tech.
