[Miami-Notre Dame game time announced]

It’s official: GameDay is coming to South Florida.

Though the Hurricanes haven’t confirmed where the location of the show will be — on campus, at Hard Rock Stadium, or somewhere else — ESPN’s flagship Saturday college football show will be in town before UM hosts Notre Dame in a game that could have College Football Playoff implications.

ABC, which will carry the Canes-Irish game at 8 p.m. next Saturday, made the announcement on-air during the fourth  quarter of Miami-Virginia Tech, confirming rumors that a strong UM showing against the Hokies would seal a GameDay bid.

This will be the first time UM has hosted as the home school since Nov. 2001, the weekend of a game against Syracuse. UM won that game 59-0.
