Miami Hurricanes recruiting: DT Keondre Coburn scouting report, player profile

Miami signed the bulk of its highly rated recruiting class some six weeks ago, officially adding 19 players during the early signing period Dec. 20-22. However, the Hurricanes are still on the hunt. In advance of the traditional signing period, which begins Wednesday, Feb. 7, we look at players UM is targeting in this series of posts.

Projection: Game-wrecker in the middle. Coburn is big and agile, “commands a double-team and [is] very difficult to move off the ball,” ESPN wrote, adding that he “looks pretty close to the prototype of a nose.”

Fun facts: Committed to Texas last August, but Miami entered the picture late and was aggressive. He told Canesport that having proven NFL draft pick producer Craig Kuligowski coaching him would be a major factor. “He can get me to the league,” he said … Wore No. 99 in high school … Under Armour All-American.
