National signing day: DL Jamarcus Chatman picks Florida State over Miami

One of Miami’s signing-day targets along the defensive line, Georgia-based Jamarcus Chatman, is heading to Tallahassee instead.

Chatman, a three-star prospect from Rome, Ga., chose FSU over UM in a ceremony at his school.

Looking to restock its defensive line Wednesday morning, UM signed tackles Nesta Silvera — a blue-chip recruit considered one of the top players in the 2018 class — and three-star Jordan Miller. Four-star tackle Keondre Coburn stuck with his commitment to Texas, while four-star end Andrew Chatfield picked Florida.

Miami sophomore DeeJay Dallas, a running back and wide receiver, had a message for Chatman that stoked the fire of the Miami-FSU rivalry:
